01 Choose your data
Before you create a pivot table, you need a table to work from. For this tutorial, we’re going to use a simple table that records sales of different gardening tools from a wholesaler. The table holds basic info about each sale.
02 Create the first pivot
The easiest way to create a pivot table is to click the Pivot button in the tool bar. This will put the pivot table on a separate tab, so to keep it on the same tab, choose Organise > Create Pivot Table > On Current Sheet.
03 Sort your data
