FREE | N/A Lirica (Spanish for lyrics) is an app that promises to help you learn Spanish through song lyrics. This promise is somewhat contingent on you already being a fan of Spanish pop music, I’d say – there’s an assumption here that Enrique Iglesias, Elvis Crespo and Marc Anthony are all your jam, and that you’d like to understand the lyrics to their songs. The lessons take words from different verses in the songs and give you some context behind their meaning and the grammatical principles that dictate their usage, which should help you to better grasp what the songs are about. I’m not convinced that this app is actually going to be particularly helpful with education, though – teaching random words without first establishing the language’s building blocks…
