I suppose they wanted the word ‘new’ in there. Once you’re past that, though, Snewpit is an interesting, although potentially problematic, app. The idea is that users can submit local news stories, along with photos, videos, and short blurbs, to keep each other informed. There are obvious advantages here, especially if your local news isn’t as on the ball as it could be – being able to find out why that road is closed off, or share the details of a missing person easily, has obvious advantages.
