Power supplies seem to be affordable this month, with last issue’s EVGA SuperNOVA 750 GA still great value and Nzxt’s C750 costing a sensible $134; both 80+ Gold rated for efficiency. Storage is also reasonable, with the top-notch 500GB Samsung 980 Pro a good buy at $150 and the Corsair Force MP600 (from last issue’s Intel system) down to $145. Low prices prompted us to leave our drives alone, but the same can’t be said for the AMD mid-range CPU. With our budget AMD PC upgrading to the Ryzen 5 5600X, we’re upgrading to the Ryzen 7 5800X, which offers eight cores and 16 threads to the 5600X’s six and 12.
