There’s expected to be a decreasing incentive for Ethereum miners to invest in GPUs through that period, so it’s reasonable to expect that will help send prices downwards through this year as that takes place. It has finally happened; the graphics card pricing bubble has popped! Prices have been crazy for over a year now with all cards from both brands selling for well above their recommended retail price (RRP).
But during March something happened, and overnight the RTX 3080 dropped drastically in price, first by thirty percent and now by as much as forty percent, which equates to a $1,000 reduction!
From there all the other Nvidia cards started to fall as well. Richard from Aftershock PC shed some light on the matter for us to give some explanation…
