Did this Raider just steal the laptop CPU crown back for Intel?

From: $3,849 | au.msi.com It was a close competition last year between Intel’s i9-11980HK, AMD’s Ryzen 9 5900HX, and Apple’s M1 Max 10-core processor for the fastest laptop CPU, so we’re not overly surprised that Intel was keen to get MSI’s new Raider GE76, with a 12th Gen i9, over to us for testing as soon as it could. We’ve tested Intel’s 12900KF desktop i9 processor and even the Intel Core i9-12900H on a thermally constrained gaming tablet already this year, but this is our first exposure to the unlocked Intel Core i9-12900HK workstation CPU – and first impressions are great.
