If your programs load in black and white, you can change to colour by pressing F6. Or you can open VCC’s Options window, select the Display tab, and choose Composite instead of RGB. If you want to use a joystick, you might consider an old-fashioned flight-sim joystick with analog controls. The original Tandy joysticks were nasty devices that used analog positioning and didn’t auto-center.
In some games, a modern controller may result in large jumps across the screen, even when using an analog thumbstick. It may be awkward, but you might consider using the mouse for certain titles.…
