Tesla Cybertruck struggles on dirt The sci-fi ute isn’t as outdoorsy as its creator would have you believe. While Tesla’s sister company, SpaceX, might be responsible for the majority of rockets that make it into space these days, it seems the recently released Cybertruck isn’t even able to make it up a dirt hill without a struggle. A video showing the ‘apocalypse proof’ Tesla truck failing to climb a simple dirt incline at the Hollister Hills 4 x 4 park in California, surfaced in November ahead of the car’s planned release date. Footage of one of Tesla’s biggest electric truck competitors, the Rivan R1T, easily completing the exact tracks that the Cybertruck almost got beaten by makes the revelation all the more embarrassing.
