Each critter is a separate program, and they do things like create files and move them around. Is it a game? Mainly it’s a folder filled with images, and videos, and the digital pets themselves: little animated apps that bounce infectiously around your computer screen. The clown-like Hopson blows out kisses and looks terribly sad when you drag them around. Meanwhile, Louie likes to play on the goddamn taskbar. I’m trying to write this now as they shuffle about, and I’m being told off every time I try to move them. Closing the window feels a little like taking the batteries…
