It certainly qualifies as the latter, with rounded corners and a contoured design that’s comfortable to hold. The back is polished, rather than matte as on the Pixel 8 Pro, but it does a fair job of resisting fingerprints and comes in a choice of black, white or tasteful rose finishes.
