LABS | INTEL CORE DESKTOP PROCESSORS (14TH GEN) PRICE $989 The Intel Core i9-14900K is a hard chip to justify, which is a weird thing to say about a processor that’s arguably the best Intel has ever sold for desktops. It beats every other chip I tested in most categories with the exception of some multitasking workflows and gaming performance, in which it’s a very close runner-up. What you don’t get is innovation, but that isn’t surprising when you consider this is the final flagship using Intel’s current architecture.
