AMD FSR 3 frame generation arrives.

OPINION | TECH TALK AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 (FSR3) technology was first announced in November 2022 – a clear attempt to show that AMD could also provide frame generation technology. One year later, we have the first two samples of how FSR3 works and how it looks. It’s not a great first outing. There are many issues, though AMD seems aware of them, and apparently has fixes in the works. “Several AMD and Nvidia cards worked okay, though while Arc A750 also worked, the Arc A770 crashed to desktop every time we tried to enable frame generation.” This raises the question of why it would choose two less than ideal examples as a launch showcase for the tech: Forspoken and Immortals of Aveum.
