Add right-click shortcut to Windows Update settings
With a quick registry hack you can add the option to open Windows Update settings to your right-click menu. First, search for and open registry editor, then in the address bar at the top type Computer\HKEY_ CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\ shell. Press Enter, then right-click ‘shell’ that’s highlighted in the menu under the Background heading and select New, then Key. Now name it Windows Update (or whatever name you prefer – this is what will appear in your right-click menu).
Now right-click the key you just created, then select New, Key again and create a new key called command ( 1 in our screenshot below). Right-click the ‘Open Windows Update’ key once more, and this time select New, then String Value, and…
