Its 1,050-Watt-rated power supply is cheap compared to rivals and has some attractive features, but should you buy it? Gamemax has multiple PSU variants with differences that aren’t always obvious. Our GX-1050 Pro has no RGB, has an 80 Plus Platinum rating and provides labelled cables that facilitate the following, modular connections: 24-pin motherboard; four, six-pin PCIe connectors which enable 10 SATA and three PATA connections (plus a floppy); four, eight-pin CPU/PCIe connections (two CPU cables and three PCIe cables are supplied); and a 12V-2x6 power connector for high-end graphics cards.
