CHROMIUM Disable Google’s new AI Overviews feature Three months after it launched the feature in the US, Google has added an AI Overview section to its search results in Australia (1 in our screenshot below). This provides AI-generated answers to your search queries, by summarising content from several online sources. While potentially useful, AI Overviews also slow down your searches and sometimes give incorrect information – infamously telling Americans to “eat at least one small rock per day”. Even worse, they’re prioritised above standard search results and can’t be turned off – though they don’t appear for every query.
