A budget Wi-Fi 7 mesh system? Count us interested.

PRICE $449 (two-pack) WEB https://au.msi.com We’ve been impressed by MSI’s budget Wi-Fi routers in the past, so we were happy to see this Roamii Wi-Fi 7 mesh land on these shores. The (two-node) Roamii BE Lite Wi-Fi Mesh System costs just $449 which is almost one-tenth the price of Netgear’s recent (three-node) rival. So, what are the compromises? The main issue is that calling it Wi-Fi 7 is a stretch. The ‘Lite’ designation reflects the fact that it doesn’t utilise the 6GHz band, which is where the main speed and performance benefits of Wi-Fi 7 (and 6E) stem from. Wi-Fi 7 does include other benefits, though.
