Customise the menu bar

1 ONE MORE ICON BETWEEN FRIENDS Bartender adds its own icon to the menu bar. Click it and the app will toggle the menu bar icons between two states: those whose visibility is set to Show and those set to Hide. Icons you need only occasionally are good choices for the latter category. 2 ALWAYS SHOW AN ICON There are some exceptions. Set an icon to Always Show and it’ll be visible regardless of Bartender’s state. Pick Always Hide and it’ll appear only if you: press the Search hot key and type its name; press the Show All Items hot key; or follow our third step. 3 REVEAL ON STATUS UPDATE No matter which visibility setting you pick, ticking ‘Show for updates’ will cause the icon to reappear for a…
