Mobile phones evolved from initially being large devices to smaller clamshells (or flip phones like the Motorola Razr), shrinking with each passing year. Then, in 2007, Apple launched the first ever iPhone, ushering in the era of the smartphone. Since then consumers have been asking for more and more screen real estate. Turns out even the plus-sized handsets and phablets aren’t enough, so phone manufacturers have decided to design a device that has a folding screen, so it’s pocketable when necessary and unfolds into a tablet when needed.
