DET FANNS EN TID då jag tillbringade flera timmar varje söndag på lägenhetsvisningar. Med risk för att avslöja min ålder så inleddes varje helg med att jag bläddrade i en fysisk bostadsbilaga i dagstidningen. Bland hundratals representabla bilder av vitmålade lyor ringade jag in favoriterna innan jag började skissa på ett tidsschema över hur jag skulle hinna ta mig från Söder till Gärdet och vidare till Gamla stan inom en timme. Däremellan skulle jag hunnit bestämma mig för vilken lägenhet jag ville bo i under kommande decennium, och framför allt räkna pengar och kalkylera räntor för att förstå om det ens var möjligt.
