När räven inte raskar över isen bor hon under huset, och i skogen utanför kliver både älg och rådjur förbi. Tiden har stått stilla på den lilla gården med anor från 1600-talet och Mariannes och Lars festlada är pyntad för jul.

I gamla tider bodde många på Kollerøs gård. Husen i skogen, någon halvtimme sydost om Oslo, ett stenkast från vägen och med utsikt över en liten insjö, var fulla av folk. Nu är det bara Marianne och Lars Kollerøs som styr, renoverar och återvinner här. Som namnet förtäljer hade den lilla gården varit i Lars släkt i många generationer när paret övertog den som lantställe. Och med den fick Marianne inte bara ett drömprojekt, hon fick också en snickare. För det är precis det Lars är, en hobbyhantverkare med stor passion för att få till det som förr i tiden.
