MÅNADENS STJÄRNA

VEM: Keramikern och konstnären EVA JANCKE-BJÖRK (1882–1981). MEST KÄND FÖR: Den keramik som hon skapade för Bo Fajans under åren 1925 till 1956. PRISNIVÅ: Förvånansvärt låg med tanke på hur skicklig Eva Jancke-Björk var. Hon skapade vacker vardagsvara, inte bara för Bo Fajans utan även för Rörstrands Porslinsfabrik 1915–1921 och Sankt Eriks Lervarufabriker 1921–1925. Flera av hennes föremål kan man köpa till låga priser, som mest för ett par hundralappar. TITTA EFTER: I slutet av 1930-talet började hon skapa vaser, urnor och krukor som hon dekorerade med kraftiga slingor av blad, blommor och frukter. De är eftertraktade i dag och passar väl in i begreppet Swedish modern. VISSTE DU ATT: Eva Jancke-Björk rekryterades som formgivare till Orrefors 1916, det vill säga samma år som Simon Gate.
