VirtualBox fait fonctionner un système (Windows 8 dans notre exemple) en même temps que Mac OS X. Cette opération sollicite fortement les ressources de la machine. Lorsqu’il est au premier plan, avec une session de Windows active, VirtualBox exploite entre 70 et 95 % du processeur à lui seul et occupe bel et bien la quantité de mémoire que vous lui avez allouée lors de l’installation. Par ailleurs, la carte graphique du Mac est gérée avec plus ou moins d’aisance. N’espérez pas profiter de cette façon des derniers jeux 3D sur un Mac un peu ancien ou dépourvu d’une vraie carte graphique performante. VirtualBox ne rechignera pas, en revanche, à exploiter n’importe quel logiciel qui n’est pas trop gourmand en ressources.…
